In our pharmacy, you'll find a wide selection of prescription diets and medications. You'll have quick access to any medications your pet may need while in our care.
Our Diagnostic Services
In our in-house laboratory, we can complete advanced diagnostics to offer an accurate diagnosis of your pet's medical issues. Our diagnostic services include:
- Radiography (Digital X-Rays)
With radiographs (digital x-rays), we can see your pet's internal systems and glean information that may be invisible to the casual observer.
Radiography is a painless, non-invasive and safe procedure that uses only very low doses of radiation. Because radiation exposure levels are so low, even pregnant females and very young pets can have this procedure.
We can use radiographs to evaluate bones and organs, and diagnose conditions including spinal cord diseases, bladder stones, chronic arthritis, fractured bones and some tumours.
- Ultrasound
We can create images of the inside of your pet's body by using ultrasound imaging to expose part of the body to high-frequency sound waves.
Because ultrasound images are captured in real-time, we can see the movement and structure of your pet's internal systems, as well as blood flowing through the blood vessels.
- Electrocardiogram
Using an electrocardiogram (also referred to as an echo or cardiac ultrasound), we can measure the rate and regularity of your pet's heartbeat.
This diagnostic tool allows our veterinarians to closely examine what the heart looks like (shape, size, function, the heart's chambers, valves and surrounding structures) and how it is functioning in real-time.
- Tonometry
To find out whether your pet may be experiencing glaucoma, we use a tonometer to measure pressure within the eye (intraocular pressure). This pressure is exerted by the eyeball against the outer layers of the eye and leads to a buildup of fluid, which can eventually cause vision loss.
Tonometry can also help us discover whether there is inflammation happening within the eye.
